KLB’s Cabell Mouton Joins AASHE Advisory Council

Keep Louisiana Beautiful is excited to share that our very own Community Engagement and Affiliate Services Director, Cabell Mouton, has been selected to join the Advisory Council (AC) for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

The AC is the primary mechanism for members to get involved in AASHE governance, and it consists of leaders from higher education, business, nonprofits, and government. AC members provide advice and guidance on high-level strategy as well as specific programs and services.

Cabell joins 107 other sustainability advocates from around the globe on the AC. Her involvement with this elite group will provide her with incredible opportunities to learn from others, and she will be able to share her knowledge and experiences from working with KLB’s University Affiliates and the University Sustainability Coalition.

“Cabell has been instrumental in growing the KLB University Affiliate network – the largest group of its kind in the country,” says Susan Russell, KLB Executive Director. “I know Cabell’s involvement with AASHE will benefit the KLB University Affiliate network, as she’ll be able to learn and bring fresh ideas to the table.”

Since 2017, Cabell has worked at KLB, providing communities, non-profits, and universities with education, training, resources, and programming for a cleaner, more beautiful Louisiana. Previous to working at KLB, Cabell held positions at the Louisiana Maritime Museum, Times-Picayune, and the Louisiana Press Association.
