Virtual Affiliate Regional Meeting

Affiliate directors and board members are invited to attend one of the three regional virtual meetings. The topic of the virtual meeting will be The Essential Components of a Strong Grant. KLB will take you step by step through the process of how to write a strong grant/ fundraising proposal. At the end of the training, you will walk away with the know-how, tools, and confidence to write a great proposal to secure funding for your affiliate programs.

Attendance at a regional meeting is also one of the requirements to receive KLB’s Circle of Excellence Award, which provides $500 for your affiliate and is a part of the KLB support plan offered to affiliates.

Litter Enforcement Training

PART 1 OF 2: City and parish governments, administrators, constables, sheriffs, police chiefs, elected officials, and affiliates are invited to attend this free litter enforcement training virtual meeting. Enforcement training assists local municipalities and parishes with the tools and resources to assist in establishing a self-funded litter court.

Facilitator: Rick Moore, retired Major of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and Constable of St. Tammany Parish. Rick established the St. Tammany Parish litter court in 2015 and oversees all litter enforcement, dump sites, and abandon vehicle cases in the parish.

State Conference Hilton Capitol Center Hotel Reservations

A block of rooms has been reserved for November 4-6, 2020 at the Hilton Capitol Center in Baton Rouge for the State Conference. The special room rate will be available until October 15th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.

State Conference and Everyday Hero Awards Luncheon

The 2020 Keep Louisiana Beautiful State Conference will take place November 5-6 at the Hilton Capitol Center in Baton Rouge. The Everyday Hero Awards Luncheon will take place in the Heidelburg Ballroom at the Hilton Capitol Center on Friday, November 6.

 

To receive a reduced hotel room rate please register with the Hilton Capitol Center no later than October 15 by calling 225-344-5866 and indicating you will be attending the KLB State Conference.

All interested affiliates organizing a cleanup or beautification event during Love The Boot Week (4/20/20-4/26/20) should officially register. Keep Louisiana Beautiful will post all registered events on the website, however specific event details and contact information will only be published for those events that are open to receiving volunteers from the general public.
