Affiliate Bi-Monthly Conference Call

Affiliate directors and board members are invited and encouraged to join the bi-monthly virtual affiliate conference call at 8am or 3pm. KLB will send a Zoom link to the meeting and an agenda one week prior to the date of the call. Affiliates may choose which time is most convenient for them. Attendance at 3 of the 6 calls a year is a requirement for KLB’s Circle of Excellence award.

Everyday Heroes Award Nomination

Each year, Keep Louisiana Beautiful recognizes those that go the extra mile to keep our communities clean, beautiful, and litter-free. These are the men, women, children, businesses and organizations that are moving Louisiana towards a more sustainable future through innovative programming, hard work, and dedication to greener, cleaner communities.

Submit nominations for an Everday Hero Award for up to eight categories of deserving individuals, groups and businesses that go an extra mile to keep their communities clean, green and beautiful.

2022 State Conference

The annual State Conference and Everyday Hero Awards Banquet will take place at the Baton Rouge Hilton Capitol Center on October 11 and 12. All those interested in working towards a greener, cleaner, more beautiful Louisiana are invited to attend. Industry experts, civic officials, and anti-litter advocates from across the state will gather to present and share real-world applications for environmental stewardship in local communities.

The Trash Receptacle Affiliate Grant Report is due for affiliates that received a 2022 Trash Receptacle Affiliate Grant. This includes a litter assessment, a copy of your press release, a copy of your legislative letter, and photos of installed receptacles with signage.

The Cleanup Supplies Affiliate Grant Report is for affiliates that received the 2022 Cleanup Supplies Affiliate Grant. This includes a copy of your press release, legislative letter, and data from the cleanup as part of the grant requirement.

Affiliate Grant Applications

All 2022 Affiliate Grant applications are due: the Trash Receptacle Affiliate Grant; the Cleanup Supplies Affiliate Grant; the Environmental Education Affiliate Grant; and the Affiliate Program Grant. Affiliates may apply for two different grants. **Note: Affiliates that have received the Cleanup Supply grant two years in a row may not apply until the following year.

Love the Boot Event Week

All interested affiliates organizing a cleanup or beautification event during Love The Boot Week (4/18/22-4/24/22) should officially register. Keep Louisiana Beautiful will post all registered events on the website, however specific event details and contact information will only be published for those events that are open to receiving volunteers from the general public. Conducting a Love the Boot event is a requirement of the Circle of Excellence Award.

Virtual Affiliate Regional Meeting

Affiliate directors and board members are encouraged and invited to attend the virtual affiliate meeting: Louisiana Native Plants. Attendance at the regional meeting is one of the requirements to receive KLB’s Circle of Excellence Award, which provides $500 for your affiliate and is a part of the KLB support plan offered to affiliates. Registration is required.
