Culture of Cleanliness Hosts World Cleanup Day Event in Lower 9th Ward

On September 16 for World Cleanup Day, Culture of Cleanliness partnered with Odyssey House of Louisiana to host a cleanup in the Holy Cross neighborhood in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. An incredible attendance of 65 volunteers led to one ton of debris and litter being removed.

“We are committed to keeping Louisiana beautiful,” said group leader, Gregory Swafford. “During the cleanup, we identified various types of plastic pollution and consumer waste, which we’ll report and assess in our waste audit coming out this fall.”
