Clean Biz Spotlight: Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana

In Sulphur, the Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana has embraced the mission of Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) through their active participation in the Clean Biz Partnership.

Going beyond the standard Clean Biz requirements, the Safety Council SWLA organized a dedicated litter cleanup event for their team this fall. With a shared commitment to the cleanliness and environmental quality of their community, staff members joined forces to clear litter not only around their facility but also along the surrounding roadways. Their hands-on approach exemplifies a true dedication to being a Clean Biz.

In a press release detailing their Clean Biz Partnership with KLB, Sarita Scheufens, CEO of the Safety Council of SWLA, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We believe that a cleaner Louisiana benefits us all, from residents to businesses. Through our partnership, we are taking a proactive stance to preserve the beauty of our state and protect our environment.”

The Safety Council of SWLA is not just cleaning up litter, they are actively encouraging others to follow suit. By sharing their values and initiatives, they aim to inspire fellow businesses to join the Clean Biz Partnership and take action to reduce litter and promote environmental responsibility.

Any of KLB’s 298 Clean Biz Partners across the state can borrow litter cleanup supplies from participating chambers of commerce to conduct a cleanup event. Gather your team and make a difference in your community! Find a list of participating chambers, as well as more information about the program, on KLB’s Clean Biz page.
