Recycle Your Christmas Tree to Support Louisiana’s Coast
Each year, Louisiana residents give new purpose to their Christmas trees through local recycling efforts. Instead of going to the landfill, the trees are used for coastal restoration and fish habitat.
Trees must meet the following guidelines in order to be recycled:
- No flocked trees
- No artificial trees
- No painted trees
- No lights, garland, tinsel, ornaments, tree stands or plastic bags
Below is a list of tree recycling options by parish. Click on the parish name for more information. Do you have a correction or a tree recycling program that you would like added to this list? Please email [email protected].
