Clean Biz Partnership

As a Clean BIZ Partner, you agree to adopt the following best practices that prevent litter:

1. Take time to pick up litter from your parking bays and/or around your business.
2. Place trash receptacles at your business storefront or at transition points.
3. Maintain a clean dumpster by keeping the lid closed and the area around the dumpster free of litter and debris.
4. Maintain your business lawn and landscaping.
5. Participate in and/or promote KLB’s Love the Boot Week and other community improvement activities.
6. Create a culture of cleanliness for your employees and customers by displaying Clean BIZ Partnership marketing materials and promoting your participation on your social media channels and website. Materials provided by KLB.

2. An “I’m a Clean BIZ” poster to proudly display in your business
3. Clean BIZ Partnership social media posts and graphics to promote your participation
4. Consideration for a KLB Clean Business Award
5. Listing as a partner on KLB’s website
6. Listing in one KLB newsletter
7. Information to participate in other Clean BIZ Partnership activities, such as webinar trainings and workshops to educate and inform businesses on sustainability, recycling, waste management, and waste reduction best practices.

Chambers will agree to: 

ENGAGE MEMBERSHIP 

1. Distribute window clings, posters, and other promotional materials to businesses when they sign up. KLB will provide materials and notify you when members sign up.
2. Include program information in your newsletter encouraging member participation.
3. Recognize businesses by selecting a monthly “Business Leaders Against Litter” (optional)
4. Set a goal to have 10% of your membership sign up for the program.
5. Participate in Love the Boot Week by doing a cleanup or promoting the event.

PROMOTE  

1. Make this program a priority initiative of your Chamber. Display your program banner and poster in the Chamber office.
2. Print and display the Business Pledge Board for your lobby/offices and encourage business leaders to sign it.  (optional)
3. Promote the program to your membership during membership drives, mixers, and/or other membership gatherings.
4. Make at least 4 posts on your social media channels promoting the program.
5. Post program information on your website.
6. Issue a press release announcing participation in the program.

1. One vertical retractable banner and poster to be displayed in your office. KLB will ship items directly to your office.
2. A Pledge Board design for you to print and display at your office.
3. A press release template and a public relations tip sheet.
4. Social media messaging and graphics to promote the program to your membership.
5. Video graphic and content creation guide.
6. Banner ads and website graphics to promote the program to your members.
7. A Clean BIZ of the Month yard sign and certificate template to recognize your participating members.
8.  Proud Clean BIZ Partner window cling, poster, and digital toolkits for each business member that signs up.
9. A chance to win the Business Leaders Against Litter Chamber of the Year Award. Presented at the LACCE and KLB awards banquet to the Chamber that signs up the largest % of members.

13. An opportunity to participate in educational webinar trainings and workshops targeting sustainability, waste management, recycling, and litter prevention business practices.
