Keep Bossier Beautiful Chooses a Design for Welcome Gateway

Through an online public vote, Keep Bossier Beautiful (KBB) has selected a design for the new “Welcome to Bossier” gateway sign! KBB invited the public to vote on six different designs submitted by various architects in the Bossier area.  Community members showed immense support for the project, submitting more than 1,400 online votes over the course of just one week. The winning designer is Clarence Babineaux with SGB Architects, followed by Mark Prevot of Mark Prevot Design Services in second place, and Mike McSwain of McSwain Architects in third place.

Babineaux’s design will serve as a great first impression for those entering Bossier Parish, highlighting the communities’ pride and patriotism as home to the Barksdale Air Force Base. The gateway will consist of a 199’ flagpole with a 30’X50’ flag and a pair of restored B52 wings. KBB is continuing to work with architects and community leaders to ensure the proper permits, funding, and resources in order to make this design become a reality and will release additional information as it becomes available. KBB has extended special thanks to all of those who have helped in creating this project and are working to promote beautification efforts throughout the Bossier community.
