A Clean Louisiana is Good for Business
Addressing the litter problem in Louisiana is a responsibility we all must share. In order to engage Louisiana businesses in reducing and preventing litter, the Clean Biz Partnership was developed by Keep Louisiana Beautiful and the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE) in 2023.
There are incentives for participating Ambassadors and businesses. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to participate. A membership with a Chamber of Commerce is not required to join as a business partner.

Businesses
Become a Clean Biz Partner and distinguish yourself and your business as environmentally responsible. As a partner, you pledge to adopt daily best practices for reducing and preventing litter such as cleaning your parking bays, placing trash receptacles at your storefront, and maintaining a clean dumpster area. Participating businesses receive a Clean Biz Partner window cling, marketing tools, and recognition in Keep Louisiana Beautiful materials. A Chamber membership is not required to participate in this program.
Requiremements to Participate
As a Clean BIZ Partner, you agree to adopt the following best practices that prevent litter:
- Take time to pick up litter from your parking bays and/or around your business.
- Place trash receptacles at your business storefront or at transition points.
- Maintain a clean dumpster by keeping the lid closed and the area around the dumpster free of litter and debris.
- Maintain your business lawn and landscaping.
- Participate in and/or promote KLB’s Love the Boot Week and other community improvement activities.
- Create a culture of cleanliness for your employees and customers by displaying Clean Biz Partnership marketing materials and promoting your participation on your social media channels and website. Materials provided by KLB.

Become a participating Chamber of Commerce in the Clean Biz Partnership. Keep Louisiana Beautiful seeks to partner with Chambers of Commerce throughout Louisiana to lead the way and encourage their business members to become Clean Biz Partners.
Requiremements to Participate
Chambers will agree to:
Engage membership
- Distribute window clings, posters, and other promotional materials to businesses when they sign up. KLB will provide materials and notify you when members sign up.
- Include program information in your newsletter encouraging member participation.
- Recognize businesses by selecting a monthly “Business Leaders Against Litter” (optional)
- Set a goal to have 10% of your membership sign up for the program.
- Participate in Love the Boot Week by doing a cleanup or promoting the event.
