KSJB, in partnership with St. James High School and the community will plant 28 oak trees and eight magnolia trees at the high school to honor graduating classes of the past and to build a link between the old and new campuses of the high school. KOCH has supplied a grant and some past graduating classes have adopted a tree to plant and care for on the SJH campus. The event will be held on Arbor Day, January 20 at the St. James High School Campus on LA Highway 20 in Vacherie. St. James High 4-H clubs, Student Council, Wild Cat productions, and the SJH student body will all be involved in the planting as well as representatives of graduating classes who adopted a tree.
