Now in its 28th year, Beach Sweep will place hundreds of volunteers and pick up thousands of pounds of debris. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges are partnering with the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation (LPBF) to hold its annual Beach Sweep, a day designated to clean up the Lake Pontchartrain Basin, on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
We will host a crew of 30 volunteers from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. that will target litter clean up on Lake Road in Big Branch National Wildlife Refuge.
We will be meeting on Lake Road right before you get to the rock section of the road. Signs will be posted.
Hope you are able to join us.
